Shopping is really good in Uruguay, partly because of exchange rates. The american dollar is about 35 times the Uruguayan, so alcohol, cigarettes, food, chocolate, and domestic products as well as dining out and entertainment are a great deal! Shopping centers, many of them new, can be found throughout as well as duty free shops on the ferries.
